OnePlus announced the launch date for its upcoming compact flagship, the OnePlus 13s, set for June 5 at 12:00 PM IST in India. The new smartphone will come in three color variants, including two familiar shades—Black Velvet and Pink Satin—previously seen in the OnePlus 13T lineup. India will receive an exclusive Green Silk variant, featuring a soft-touch coating named Velvet Glass, replacing the gray color option available in the 13T series.
The OnePlus 13s boasts a slim profile with a thickness of 8.15mm and weighs 185 grams. Designed to facilitate easy one-handed use, the device offers balanced weight distribution and features curved 2.5D glass on both the front and back panels. A notable design shift involves replacing the traditional Alert Slider with a new customizable button called the Plus Key. This button can be configured to switch between sound profiles such as Sound, Vibration, and Do Not Disturb, or activate AI functions and user-selected tools.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 13s is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. To enhance thermal management, the phone includes one of the largest vapor chambers in its class and a specialized cooling layer integrated into the back cover. These features aim to improve heat dissipation during extended use, ensuring consistent performance.
On the camera front, the device is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with two 50MP sensors. A 16MP front-facing camera will handle selfie and video calling needs. The dual 50MP camera system is likely to deliver strong imaging capabilities in varied lighting conditions.
Pricing details for the OnePlus 13s have not been officially confirmed. However, industry analysts predict the price point will fall between the OnePlus 13R, currently priced at Rs 42,999, and the premium OnePlus 13, listed at Rs 69,999. The company is expected to strategically price the 13s to avoid cannibalizing sales of the existing 13R model.
